Store Snaps - Sainsburys

Happy December blogland!

I was shopping about in Sainsbury's the other day for the usual boring bits 

when I took a detour into the kids section. 

They've got some lovely kids designs on clothing in there.

I took some photos on my phone, first up here's some boyswear:

Then here's some of the girlswear, all mainly pink and pretty of course...

(when I was a little girl I hated pink. Growing up with two older bros I was a right tomboy!)

I loved this cute knitted mouse:

This weekend I went to the Made By Hand craft fair at Tredegar House near Cardiff.

I saw some great crafty things, will post up what I saw tomorrow!

Winter Warmers

So some sad news, my little guinea pig Betty had to be put to sleep yesterday.

She was a good old age and she will be very much missed. Rip little Betty.

To cheer myself up I've been working on some happy, wintery designs this afternoon.

Minsk

Brrrr! It's definitely feeling very wintery out there now!

If you want a story to warm your heart then read this story about a squirrel named Minsk.

He was rescued by a soldier and they're now best of buds.

Seems to be a bit of a friendly squirrel theme on this blog at the moment!

Lucky Lion

Here is the rest of my lion's journey.

He's been on a bit of a jaunt: up in a balloon; hiked through the woods; 

went camping; met a friendly squirrel, the usual sort of thing.

Lucky little lion, eh!

Heads, Shoulders...

...Knees and Toes!

Ilona from the fab blog ilonadrewthis had the very clever idea 

to start a game of Heads, Shoulders Knees and Toes.

New Home

We have just bought our very first house! It is lovely and I am so excited!!

However, I think it'll be a while before we get to move in. 

So while I wait patiently (ahem) I am pinning lots of house inspiration things on Pinterest!

Mrs Rabbit

I made this a while ago for my little niece's christening present.

It's really supposed to be a pyjama case but Mrs Rabbit 

had to be hung up on the wall away from tiny little fingers for now.

Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes

I've been a bit busy lately so had a little break from blog world for a couple of weeks.

While I've been busying about I did have chance to take part in a game of

heads, shoulders, knees and toes with the lovely Ilona Drew and Lizzie Mackay

The theme Ilona chose was Cat, and I was in charge of the head:

Guten tag!

I've been in Cologne for the last few days at the Kind+Jugend trade show which is the biggest show of the year for the nursery industry. 

There were some great products to see, all very inspiring stuff.

I didn't take very many photos but my friend and work buddy Jo has lots of photos from the show on her lovely blog jo-anne lee likes so head over to see!

It's 9 o'clock

I know it is because Betty the guinea pig tells me it is.

9 o'clock is usually the time she gets her daily dose of veg. 

She lives indoors in the corner of our living room. We hear a few little wheek wheek noises coming from the corner at about 8, then by 8.30 the wheek wheeks have turned into wheek wheeks, and by 9pm they are full on wheeeeeeeks! 

We rescued Betty from the RSPCA a few years ago. She is now rather old and is diabetic and almost completely blind (although she does always seem to manage to run to her veg bowl when she needs to) so she has had quite a tough little life. 

We do tend to spoil her, quite a lot...

Something random

I saw this on Pinterest today and it made my heart flutter! 

Maybe I could do this to my poor little unsuspecting mini.... it could be sooo pretty?! 

I joke, I would never do this, not really, much....

Bear and tiny bird

On our long journey back home from Cornwall I started a new needle felted bear.

I just finished him tonight and also made a teeny tiny bird friend for him.

The boyf wants to know what I'm going to do with Barry (?!) the bear...

Apparently needle felted bears need a purpose? Who knew.

Two birdies

Screen printed this card for some friends this eve.

They got engaged and have moved house so it's a two in one card.

My card making motto - if in doubt put more ribbon on it. 

You can see in this close-up how old my screen is!!

I will get round to getting a new one made one day...

Ahoy there!

I've been on a little holiday to Cornwall, St Ives to be exact. 

It was very very pretty, and very very busy.

I ate my own body weight in cheese & onion cornish pasties and 

I've come home with a burnt nose. Lovely jubbly.
